WAY PAST MIDNIGHT

Music in the Park 2022 PresentsWAY PAST MIDNIGHT

“Way Past Midnight” is a cross between a classical ensemble and a rock band; performing in all styles from rock to opera. Seasoned professional musicians Mara O’Kelly (vocals), Melody Stevens (vocals, keyboard), Patty Lazzara (flute) and Evita Belmonte (percussion, vocals) comprise the group.

Members of Way Past Midnight have won international competitions, toured domestically and abroad, earned advanced college degrees in music and have performed in some of the most famous venues. Among these include San Francisco Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. These musicians have performed with such notable entertainers as Jean Pierre Rampal, Elly Ameling, Chuck Berry, and opened for Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons.

Way Past Midnight members are also music teachers, choral and band directors, and musical theater directors. They got their name from collaborating together until way past midnight, after some of their students’ showcases.
