BASEMENT MUSICIANS
The Basement Musicians are a group of central and southern NJ family men who do the best of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s classic rock, country and folk music. They perform such great artists as Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Beatles, Neil Diamond, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, John Denver, Harry Chapin, Everly Brothers, and many more. They play the music they love and do it very well. They perform all over NJ and PA in homes, coffee houses, senior communities, restaurants, inns to large halls. They have been performing at Albert Music Hall in Waretown, NJ since 2002 and the Whitesbog Blueberry Festival since 2006. They have been performing since 2007 at the Barnegat Lighthouse Campfire program. They are called back to perform again and again because of the great music they do. They do such great hits as I Walk The Line, Pretty Woman, Back Home Again, I Can’t Stop Falling In Love With You, Play Me, Crying and lots more. You will often hear the audience singing along and asking, “Are they channeling those guys?”
Weather Information for Park Concerts
Decisions for concerts based on weather are made at 2 pm to allow sufficient time for set up inside the Monroe Twp. Senior Center on 12 Halsey Reed Road at the intersection of Applegarth Rd. If you do not see a band setting up in the gazebo in Thompson Park by 5:15 pm even though it may be sunny outside at that time, the concert will be at the Senior Center. Signs are posted in the park on the road leading to the gazebo indicating the change of location. When concerts are moved inside, there is limited seating of FIRST 200 PEOPLE.
Make sure to arrive early enough to guarantee a seat for your favorite group.
