The Cultural Arts Commission was established by a Township ordinance which was approved by the Township Council and Mayor Richard Pucci in June 1998. The function of the Commission, as stated in the ordinance, is to “establish and improve programs, projects and events to foster and bring the cultural arts to the Township for the benefit of the Township’s citizens.”

For the past 26 years the Commission has organized programing of high caliber at affordable fees to meet the interests of all age groups. Annual favorites include a FREE “Music in the Park”concert series, a juried community-wide art exhibit, community education courses, plus children’s workshops and camps.

To leave comments or suggestions about present or future projects, as well as how the commission and the public may best work together to bring the arts to the residents of Monroe Township, please feel free to call 732-521-4400 ext. 134, email Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission, or send a written correspondence to Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission, 1 Municipal Plaza Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
