Performing the Music, Songs, and Dances of Eastern Europe and Neighboring Folk Cultures

Colorful music, spectacular dancing, brilliant costumes, SUPERBLY ENTERTAINING!!!
An all-new program of spectacular dance and music is coming. The huge and talented cast of the Tamburitzans will perform a colorful array of traditional dance selections from eastern Europe and beyond. Their impeccable performance skills, beautiful costumes, and up-lifting music are a joy to behold.
This large folkloric troupe specializes in performing and preserving the music and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring folk cultures.

Artists in Residence Series

Series of Three Lectures and a Masterclass
Back by popular demand, Richard Russell, the director of Opera New Jersey,
will give a series of three lectures and a "Master Class", at the Monroe Township Library.
Mr. Russell will provide insight, historical background, musical dynamics, composition and performance challenges related to three Metropolitan Opera performances that will be simulcast in theatres.
The "Master Class" will allow our audience to witness how professional emerging operatic talent
is judged and how judges offer advice and guidance for artistic changes.
Lecture is FREE.

Registration for Each Class: $35.00 for All Five Sessions
Registration begins on Monday, January 30th at the Monroe Township Library
and must be done in person.
Create! Hands on Art is a visual arts class for ages 9-12 sponsored by the Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission in collaboration with the Monroe Township Library. Under the guidance of art instructor Janae DeLaurentis, students will express themselves through color, form and composition.
Artistic Attitude is a visual arts class for ages 13 and up, sponsored by the Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission in collaboration with the Monroe Township Library. Under the guidance of art instructor Janae DeLaurentis, students will focus on drawing, composition, figure drawing, painting and more.

The highly acclaimed Princeton Symphony Orchestra will debut its "Spun Beauty" concert
in Monroe the day before their performance in Princeton!
On the program is Snider's " Disquiet", Ravel's "Piano Concerto in G Major",
and Brahms' "Symphony No. 4 in E Minor". Not-to-be-missed is the dynamic pianist Reiko Aizawa.
